This will be helpful to me when I call AppleCare, so I can make sure that everything that may be fixable gets logged in my complaint. I thought I’d take an opportunity to sort of cleanse my system of all complaints. But I’m running into more and more problems with the MacBook Pro, and as my frustration about a particular problem compounds into the frustration of the next, the high-pitched whine of my muppet-voice becomes ever more piercing. I try to be patient with Apple and wait optimistically for a solution that will make everybody happy. I suspect I’ll have to jump through these hoops even though it is starting to sound like perhaps units of my vintage (ordered on the very first day) have enough quirks that they can only be comprehensively solved by replacing the unit.
